'Night Agents' Season 2 Trailer Arrives - Release Date Announced

Netflix has released the long-awaited trailer for “Night Agents” Season 2. Not only that, but after weeks of speculation over the “winter 2025” release date, Netflix has finally announced the official release date. Season 2 will hit the small screen on January 23, 2025.

“Night Agent” follows Peter Sutherland (Gabriel Basso), a hardworking but unassuming FBI agent stationed in the basement of the White House. But when the phone rings, he finds himself in the middle of a major conspiracy that goes deep into the bowels of government. Season 2 looks to pick up where the last one left off.

The 30-second trailer alone gives us a glimpse of what Sutherland is really up to when he takes off to an unknown location in Season 1. He is on the run from a group of brutal gangsters, but we don't know who they are or why they are after him. We are then shown various shots of Sutherland watching the gangs from afar and participating in fight sequences. That's pretty much all we know so far. The trailer is below:

Netflix has released the official synopsis for Season 2: “Peter's efforts to save the president have paid off, and he has the opportunity to become a Knight Agent. In Season 2, working for the secret organization Knight Action, Peter is thrust into a world where danger is everywhere and trust is in short supply.”

.

Peter will be joined by his girlfriend Rose (Lucien Buchanan) in the next season as well; the two finally kissed in the season one finale, officially acknowledging their romantic relationship, but things may not be so easy in the future. Their relationship may face serious difficulties as Peter leaves for an unknown location and Rose returns to California. But that is to be expected. Because who doesn't like a good romantic drama?

Director Sean Ryan told Netflix about their relationship: “It's one of the big questions we want to answer in season 2. Peter gets on this plane and goes somewhere (probably overseas, into a new wild adventure), and Rose goes back to California to chase her Silicon Valley dream again. We certainly have some initial ideas.

More exciting news for “Night Agents” fans: Netflix has already decided to produce a third season, which will begin airing in early October. Filming for season 3 will begin in Istanbul in late 2024 and will take place in New York in 2025. This would put the release date in early 2026. Story details will remain under wraps until Season 2 is released in a few months, but Gabriel Basso will certainly reprise his role as Peter Sutherland.
