According to analyst Ming Chi Kuo, the next few years could see a major launch of new Apple products. In a new blog post, Kuo claims that two more Apple products will be launched in 2026 - a smart home camera and the more health-oriented AirPods.
Kuo claims that mass production of the new wireless smart home IP camera will begin at some point in 2026, with the goal of shipping “tens of millions” of units annually. Kuo did not go into much detail about the camera itself, but expects it to be “greatly enhanced” by Apple's existing product ecosystem and its integration with both Siri and Apple Intelligence.
Presumably this will be different from Apple's smart display, which is expected to arrive within the next year. According to recent reports, the device will feature an iPad-like display similar to Amazon's Echo Show and plans to move further into the smart home arena in the coming years. Adding a camera to the mix would be the perfect way to do so, especially if Apple can offer AI-powered features in addition to basic recording and live-view capabilities.
As for AirPods, Kuo claims that since the Apple Watch has been such a success, Apple is shifting its focus to AirPods and emphasizing health management features. Again, details are not clear, but it appears that Apple will begin shifting its focus to this area starting in 2026, with future models “integrating more health management features.”
We have seen other companies do this in the past, such as heart rate tracking in Samsung's Galaxy Buds. However, these features often come at the expense of battery life, and given the Buds' small size, Apple will have to allow people to use AirPods for extended periods of time.
The upcoming Beats Powerbeats Pro 2 is rumored to include heart rate monitoring, which may be an indicator of how Apple plans to extend health-based features to its flagship AirPods buds.
It will likely be some time before we can actually see and try these new products. But it does mean that Apple is looking to expand beyond its usual product line and into new areas. Let's just hope they don't keep delaying this.
