11 New Movies and Shows to Watch This Weekend on Netflix, Prime Video and More (Nov. 22-24)

The Thanksgiving feast is a few days away, but this weekend brings a veritable streaming feast of new movies and TV shows available on the best streaming services, including Netflix and Apple TV Plus. Also, the drought lander comes to an end as “Outlander” Season 7 Part 2 finally premieres. [On the movie front, “Blitz” depicts the intense parts of World War II, and male dancers get half-naked in the Christmas rom-com “Merry Gentlemen.” Here are some of this weekend's highlights.

Welcome back to TV, Ted Danson, Netflix is the new good place. He gets a new lease on life when he answers an ad for private investigator Julie (Lilla Rich Creek Estrada) and is assigned to work undercover. His assignment is to infiltrate the Pacific View retirement home in San Francisco and solve the mystery of a stolen family heirloom.

Everyone is a suspect, residents and staff alike. Charles must solve the case without attracting the attention of the home's director Didi (Stephanie Beatriz), but he soon realizes that keeping a low profile is not so easy.

A reboot of the 1999 film starring Sarah Michelle Gellar and Reese Witherspoon. At Manchester College, an elite school near Washington, D.C., the social scene is dominated by fraternities and sororities. When the entire Greek life system may be shut down after a brutal hazing incident, ruthless step-siblings Caroline Mertuille (Katherine Hook) and Lucian Belmont (Zach Burgess) are determined to maintain their top positions. So they come up with a plan to seduce Annie Glover (Savannah Lee Smith), daughter of the Vice President of the United States.

“Home is where the heart is - but also where it breaks,” Claire Fraser (Caitriona Balfe) muses in the trailer for the second half of Outlander season 7. Claire and Jamie (Sam Heughan) finally return to Scotland, but are soon separated again when Sir John Grey (David Berry) needs Claire's healing skills. Daughter Brianna (Sophie Skelton) is also separated from her husband Roger (Richard Rankin), who has returned to the past through stone to find their kidnapped son Jamie.

The series will conclude in its eighth and final season, and there is no doubt that the epic storyline will be told in this installment.
