After the darker, more mature tone of “The Acolyte,” Disney's “Star Wars” television universe has veered toward more youthful adventure stories with a “Goonies” feel. Showrunners Jon Watts and Christopher Ford have publicly stated that they drew inspiration from the 1985 classic, and even considered casting the stars of “The Goonies” as adult characters. Instead, Jude Law will play Jod-na-Nawood, a Force user who relies on his charm to get him out of a tight spot. But the real protagonists are the four children--Wim (Ravi Cabot-Conyers), Fern (Ryan Kiera Armstrong), KB (Kiriana Clutter), and Neil (Robert Timothy Smith)--who stumble upon a discovery on their home planet and get lost in a vast galaxy They end up.

My theory is that the success of “Slow Horse” has inspired some of the top British actors to star in their own spy drama. Let's see: Michael Fassbender in “Agency,” Eddie Redmayne in “Day of the Jackal,” and now Keira Knightley in “Black Dove. Helen Webb is a resourceful, honest mother and wife ...... and undercover spy, who for a decade has passed on her politician husband's secrets to the organization to which she belongs. When Helen's secret lover is assassinated, her mysterious handler, Reed (Sarah Lancashire), calls in an old friend, Sam (Ben Whishaw), to keep her safe. Together, Helen and Sam investigate the death and uncover a massive conspiracy linking London's underworld to a geopolitical crisis.
All six episodes premiere on Netflix on Thursday, December 5 at 3 a.m. ET
The first film in James Gunn's new DC Universe (DCU) follows Amanda Waller (Viola Davis) on a mission deemed too dangerous for humans This animated adventure features a team of imprisoned monsters recruited by Led by General Rick Flagg Sr. (Frank Grillo), this team includes Frankenstein (David Harbour), Princess Irana (Maria Bakalova), Dr. Lin (Alan Tudyk), Nina Mazursky (Zoe Chao), Bride (Indira Varma), Cirith (Anya Charotra), and GI Robot (Sean Gunn). It reminds me of “Suicide Squad,” but even more violent and foul-mouthed.
Episode 1 premieres on Max on Thursday, December 5 at 3 a.m. ET [19] [20] A true story called “The Canadian Maple Syrup Robbery” is the inspiration for this drama, similar to the Coen brothers' film. Ruth Landry (Margo Martindale) is a maple syrup farmer who may be robbed of her fortune by a corrupt provincial bureaucrat. Then Remy Bouchard (Guillaume Sarr), a failed security guard, and Mike Byrne (Chris Diamantopoulos), a Boston mobster, offer to rob the maple syrup reserve for her money. It could be the sweetest heist in Canadian history. But a series of blunders leads to the discovery of dead bodies, and detective Valerie Nadeau (Suzanne Clément) and cop Teddy Green (Gita Miller) are on the hunt for them.
