All new Hulu shows and movies in December 2024.

Hulu is a bit slow in December 2024, with no major original series or movies premiering. However, there are still some originals to look forward to, including the continuation of Hulu's new standup comedy initiative and the Korean supernatural drama “Light Shop,” about a group of strangers who share a mysterious secret.

In true crime drama, the fourth season of Wild Crime, a docu-series about the disappearance of an 18-year-old barista in Alaska, will air. The “CMA Country Christmas” special, featuring holiday-themed performances by stars Ashley McBride, Amy Grant, John Pardi, and Trisha Yearwood, will premiere on Hulu the day after it airs on ABC. The horror film “Cuckoo” and the senior comedy “Summer Camp” will make their streaming debuts after their theatrical release.

Other films this month include an international action series and an acclaimed documentary. Right now, Hulu's ad-supported plan is available for just $1 per month in a Black Friday promotion.

The “Has Fallen” film series starring Gerard Butler has many things falling into place, including the White House, the City of London, and Secret Service agent Mike Banning himself, played by Butler. Although credited as a producer, Butler does not appear in the new international spin-off of this popular franchise, but the film's over-the-top action style should carry over to the eight-episode series.

When a former French Foreign Legion member (Sean Harris) commits terrorist attacks throughout Paris, a French police officer (Toufic Jarrab) and a British MI6 agent (Ritu Arya) team up to stop him and uncover the full extent of his elaborate revenge plot. Harris plays the same diabolical mastermind in “Mission: Impossible” with aplomb: available on Hulu starting December 6

This documentary feature film by Nat Geo had a limited theatrical release in the summer and is now premiering on streaming in time for awards season

[12 This debut feature by Julian Brave Noisecat and Emily Cassi has already been nominated for eight Critics' Choice Documentary Awards and won two.

“Sugar Cane” tells the harrowing story of the abuse suffered by children sent to institutions in Canada's Indian residential school system through the case of an unmarked grave discovered in 2021 at one Catholic Church-run institution. These children were separated from their families, stripped of their cultural identity, and often horribly abused. available on Hulu starting December 10

Hulu has been working with Jim Gaffigan, Bill Burr, “Broad City” co-creator and co-star Ilana Glazer and other big names, and is fully committed to enhancing its stand-up comedy programming (named Hularious). Glazer has already worked with Hulu on the original 2021 film False Positive, which she co-wrote and starred in. And now she will also appear on Hulu after her last special premiered on Prime Video.

In the announcement for “Human Magic,” Glazer promises to take on a wide range of subjects “from painfully awkward high school days to navigating parenting as a stalking mom,” and she'll be taking on the uncomfortable comedy of “Broad City” and the unnerving suspense of “False Positives” Her work has always been about personal life, such as the suspense of “False Positives,” and as one of the first comedians under the Hularious brand, Glazer could set the tone for the streaming service's approach to stand-up specials.
