If you're looking for something new to watch on Amazon Prime Video this weekend, the popular streaming service's ever-changing list of the top 10 most-watched movies and shows is a great way to cut through the noise quickly.
But just because a movie makes the top 10, it's guaranteed to be a hit. So, to determine which films in the top 10 (as of November 29) deserve the publicity, we've combed through the rankings and presented the best of the best.
After looking through the list, we have selected three movies to watch from the current Prime Video Top 10. They include a beloved holiday romantic comedy, a star-studded comedy-drama, and a horror film that was a surprise hit earlier this year. Let's take a look at some of my picks.
“Holiday” stars Kate Winslet as Iris, a columnist for London's Daily Telegraph newspaper. But after he announces his engagement to his new girlfriend, she agrees to trade houses with film trailer producer Amanda (Cameron Diaz).
Things quickly get complicated when Iris is at Amanda's LA house and Amanda is in the English countryside. Iris begins a slow-burning relationship with film composer Miles Dumont (Jack Black), while Amanda has a supposed one-night stand with Iris' brother Graham, which eventually develops into something more. If you like Holiday romantic comedies, “Holiday” is a must-see.

“The Family Stone” is another holiday movie that was not well received by critics but is loved by many viewers. The film follows the holiday misadventures of the Stone family in a small New England town. The film's plot begins when the oldest son, Everett (Dermot Mulroney), brings his uptight girlfriend Meredith (Sarah Jessica Parker) to the Thayer family home and proposes to her with a precious heirloom ring.
Unfortunately, with the exception of Everett's brother, Ben (Luke Wilson), nearly everyone does not like Meredith or her uptight behavior. Ironically, this makes Meredith even more uptight and overwhelmed by the hostile reception she receives from the Stone family. She therefore begs her sister Julie (Claire Danes) to come live with her at Thayer for emotional support, and things get even worse. While not as beloved as “Holiday,” this is a solid holiday film.

“Abigail” had a trailer that made me think “absolutely not.” It looked terrible and, frankly, foretold something like a major upset in this horror film. But apparently I was wrong, and this horror-comedy film about a vampire ballerina is probably a must-see now that it's on Prime Video.
The film is set at the secluded Wilhelm mansion where a group of six criminals (Melissa Barrera, Dan Stevens, Kathryn Newton, Will Catlett, Kevin Durand, and Angus Cloud) have kidnapped Abigail (Alisha Weir) The film. They are told by their boss, Lambert (Giancarlo Esposito), that Abigail is the daughter of a powerful man in the criminal underworld and that they need only hold her for 24 hours to get their share of the $50 million ransom. At first, this seems like a simple task, but when it turns out that Abigail is not an innocent 12-year-old dancer, the manor is thrown into chaos.
