Well, “Fromm” fans, it looks like you still can't escape the mystery. That's right, MGM Plus has admitted that “Fromm” will be back for Season 4. With Season 3 leaving (as usual) more questions than answers, we are all desperate to uncover the truth about the town, its creatures, and its inhabitants who are still fighting to survive.
A review is in order. From is a gripping dark thriller that traps its characters in a nightmarish small town with nowhere to run. As night falls, a sinister human-like creature emerges and ruthlessly hunts down those who happen to be trapped outside. Disturbing and shocking, Fromm has firmly established itself as a must-see for horror lovers since its debut in 2022.
With its explosively popular Season 3 finale, “Fromm” secured the #3 spot as the most talked about show online and the #1 most watched TV show on MGM Plus and Epix. It also scored an impressive 96% on Rotten Tomatoes and has maintained a 90%+ approval rating each season. Clearly, “Fromm” stands out as one of the most consistently praised shows of recent years, which is why it has become my favorite dark thriller on television.
So, season 3 has been a series of cliffhangers, and fan theories have run amok. Here's everything we know about “Fromm” Season 4, including release dates, casting updates, and plot details.
All we know so far is that production on the new 10-episode season of “Fromm” will begin in 2025, and the first episode will be released in 2026; Deadline confirmed this release year when it reported the show's renewal. However, a specific first air date has not yet been announced.
Based on the show's previous release pattern, with Season 2 airing 14 months after Season 1 and Season 3 17 months later, a similar schedule is expected for the next installment. This suggests that “From” Season 4 could be released in the spring of 2026.
There are spoilers for “From” Season 3.
“From” Season 4 will see the return of Harold Perrineau as Boyd, the show's central character. He will once again lead the town in its desperate battle for survival. In addition to Boyd, we can also expect the return of key characters such as Tabitha (Catalina Sandino Moreno), Julie (Hannah Cheramie), and Jade (David Alpay), who have played key roles in the development of the mystery.
As for Jim Matthews, played by Ion Bailey, the situation remains unclear. Jim met a brutal end in season 3 when his throat was slit by a new villain, the Man in Yellow. However, with the introduction of time travel into the series, it is possible that Jim's story is not yet over.
Of course, other characters such as Kenny (Ricky Hee), Victor (Scott McCord), Sarah (Avery Conrad), Donna (Elizabeth Saunders), Ethan (Simon Webster), and Ellis (Corteon Moore) must also return. No doubt. Elise's wife Fatima (Pega Gafori) seems to be safe after giving birth to one of the creatures, but she may be in danger again. As for Elgin (Nathan D. Simmons), the poor man who tortured Fatima to find out where she is, he is not in a very good place right now. But he will probably recover and unleash some sort of revenge plot.
Sean Majundel could also return as Father Khatri. He died at the end of Season 1, but Boyd has been hallucinating ever since, even through Season 3 when he was about to make the wrong decision. He may continue to hallucinate Father Khatri in the next season.
Below is a list of characters who are likely to reappear in some form in “From” Season 4:
Although much was revealed in the final episode of “From” Season 3, many mysteries still remain. The most important discovery, however, is the identity of the creature that terrorizes the town every night. Once human, these beings sacrificed their children in exchange for eternal life. Fatima, for example, was pregnant with Smiley, the creature Boyd killed. This is the chilling price they pay for their distorted eternal life.
Then comes the Man in Yellow, the mastermind behind the creation of this nightmarish town and likely the center of future villains. He was responsible for Jim's death at the end of Season 3, and is clearly intent on stopping anyone from uncovering the town's dark secrets.
Another major revelation is that Julie is definitely time traveling. In the final moments of the episode, when she finds her father, her appearance has changed - her hair is shorter and she is wearing different clothes. She frantically warns her father, “You have to run when this happens.” It is clear that she is trying to change the course of events to save her father through multiple timelines, but so far her attempts have been in vain.
Given what we have learned, it is clear that Julie will play a key role in navigating the different timelines in season 4, and will likely work to prevent the horrific events from unfolding. She may return to the past and uncover the truth about how the parents sacrificed their children, and more importantly, she may uncover who they made their dark deal with - perhaps the Man in Yellow.
Boyd now understands that the creature can be reborn and has begun to piece together the eerie connection to the ghostly Kimono Lady who tormented Fatima, hinting that she may hold the key to the creature's resurrection.
For now, we can only patiently wait for the official synopsis of “Fromm” Season 4, basking in the lingering questions that Season 3 left us with. But we probably won't see a teaser until mid-2025, so the suspense will likely continue a bit longer.
