Nintendo's best-kept secret is the Switch 2. Everyone knows that the successor to the highly successful hybrid console is in development, but it has yet to be officially announced. According to a new leak, the console will not be released until summer 2025, which may explain Nintendo's reluctance to make an announcement.

The leak comes from Nintenduo and claims a June or July release date for the console. Unfortunately, this source is rather vague. The publication claims that “members of at least six development studios are working on titles for the Switch's successor.”

Assuming it is true, this rumor is credible, but without more concrete information, we have to take this with a grain of salt.

However, the timeline does make a bit of sense. Since Nintendo has not yet announced the console, we would want several months between the news drop and the launch.

In the same report, Nintenduo speculates that the price will be between 400 and 500 euros. However, there were no sources to back up this claim, so we have to treat it as speculation at this point. [However, if accurate, the Switch 2 could cost between $419 and $524 in the US. With rumors that this would be Nintendo's most expensive console to date, these prices don't seem too far off from what we would expect.

If other rumors require a grain of salt, this one requires an entire salt factory in Morton; VideoGamesChronicle spotted a bunch of accessories from a Chinese company allegedly designed for the yet-to-be-announced Switch 2 on Alibaba.

If these accessories are legitimate, they may provide clues as to the size of the Switch 2. For example, the case measures 1.9 x 5.9in x 11.6in, providing a clue as to the size of the Switch 2.
