The best streaming services, including Hulu, offer extensive content libraries. While it's great to have unlimited access to TV shows and movies, it can be hard to know what to watch. Fortunately, Hulu has the top 15 shows and movie collections to give you an idea of what's trending on this platform.
There are plenty of movies to choose from this week. A new Ben Stiller comedy and a 1980s Christmas classic are in the top two, while a 2000 Oscar-winning film with a sequel currently in theaters is also high on the list.
Without further ado, here are Hulu's top 15 movies worth watching now. If you want to see more, check out Hulu's guide to the top shows.
This is based on the Hulu Top 15 movies and shows as of Thursday, December 5.
“The Nutcracker” has been in the Top 10 since its debut last week. The new comedy stars Ben Stiller as workaholic Mike Maxwell, whose nephews are orphaned in a car accident and forced to go to rural Ohio. There he is taken into the care of social worker Gretchen (Linda Cardellini) while she tries to find a new home for the children.
But what was supposed to be a three-day trip soon turns into weeks of chaos. Mike is suddenly forced to deal with unprepared parenting, including killing chickens, teaching his nephews to have sex, and dealing with the police by bugging carnival rides. If you're looking for an unruly holiday movie, check out “The Nutcracker” now.

“National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation” may have been the king of Christmas comedies before “Elf” took the crown. And depending on who you ask, there will be plenty of people who prefer this 1989 Christmas classic.
The film is the third in the National Lampoon's Vacation series and is an adaptation of author John Hughes' short story “Christmas '59,” published in the iconic humor magazine. Chevy Chase reprises his role as Clark Griswold, the head of the Griswold family who wants a “quiet, old-fashioned Christmas.”
Of course, none of that happens. Instead, we get electrocution, multiple fires and explosions, and even a SWAT team dashing through the snow to ruin Christmas. Don't miss this hilarious holiday movie on Hulu this week.

“Gladiator” is, quite simply, brilliant. In Ridley Scott's masterpiece, Russell Crowe plays the fictional Roman general Maximus Decimus Meridius. Maximus was the favorite general of Emperor Marcus Aurelius (Richard Harris), but when Marcus Aurelius' son Commodus (Joaquin Phoenix) murders his father and takes the throne, he is sold as a slave.
Maximus eventually becomes the property of gladiator trainer Antonius Proximo (Oliver Reed), who helps Maximus go to Rome as a gladiator, giving him an unexpected chance for revenge. Crowe would win Best Actor for his performance in this Best Picture-winning film, but it was Phoenix who would win the lead role as Commodus. His truly wicked performance is one of the best I have ever seen.
