Prime Video has finally released the long-awaited trailer for “Reacher” Season 3. Not only is this trailer full of intense standoffs and fight scenes, but it also includes the big news everyone has been waiting for: the official release date. Mark your calendars, because “Reacher” is scheduled to return on February 20, 2025.

For those unfamiliar with Reacher, “Reacher” stars Alan Ritchson as Jack Reacher. Each season adapts Lee Child's bestseller, making the show a must-see for longtime readers as well as those new to the series. Season 3 will tackle the events of the seventh novel, “Persuader.”

The 40-second teaser gives a glimpse of what's to come: Reacher is once again in his element, stabbing a man in the leg, escaping an explosion, and engaging in a dramatic shootout. Bodybuilder Olivier Richters plays Paulie, a new villain who is tall and strong. Reacher will be in for some serious competition. Not much else is known about “Reacher” Season 3, as Prime Video has kept it pretty well under wraps. But a very small synopsis is known: “Reacher must go undercover to rescue an informant captured by a cursed enemy from his past.”

Interestingly, Maria Sten reprises her role as Neagley in season 3. This will require the showrunners to create original material for her storyline, making Neagley an unpredictable element in the new season. However, it makes sense, given that she will be getting her own spin-off in the future.

The synopsis for “Persuader,” the original story for Season 3, is as follows: “Ten years ago, an important manhunt went wrong and someone got away with murder; ten years ago, an important manhunt went wrong and someone got away with murder; ten years ago, an important manhunt went wrong and someone got away with murder; ten years ago, an important manhunt went wrong and someone got away with murder. Reacher has one last hope. Some will call it revenge, some will call it redemption. Some will call it redemption. Reacher will call it ...... some will call it justice.”

“Reacher” Season 3 will feature two new cast members along with Richards. Anthony Michael Hall will play Zachary Beck, the owner of a drug import business who will likely be the main antagonist this season. Sonya Cassidy will play Susan Duffy, a sharp and rugged DEA agent who will team up with Reacher on a case this season.

In addition to these previous announcements, Amazon has revealed four additional cast members. Brian Tee will play Quinn, another potential villain alongside Hall's Beck. Johnny Berchtold has been cast as Beck's son Richard, suggesting a complex family dynamic. Roberto Montesinos will play DEA agent Guillermo Villanueva, who joins forces with Duffy and Reacher, and Daniel David Stewart will play Stephen Elliott.

So far, the casting and synopsis (and of course a short teaser) are mostly known. But thankfully, the wait for “Reacher” Season 3 won't be that long, and February 20, 2025 will be here before we know it. Until then, stream and review the first two seasons of “Reacher” on Prime Video.
