Amazon has been hinting about “The Beast Game” for weeks, and now the trailer has finally been released, revealing what the contestants will face with $5 million at stake. Instead of answering miscellaneous questions, the game will feature hide-and-seek in a purpose-built city, Navy SEALs, speed trains, padded cells, stress positions, emotional breakdowns, and much more fun.

“The Beast Game” will premiere worldwide on Thursday, December 19. The first episode will be available for free on Twitch for a limited time.

Contestants have already been narrowed down from 2,000 to 1,000 (the process will be available on YouTube), but now the 1,000 hopefuls will be narrowed down to one lucky winner through a process of elimination over the course of 10 episodes.

Jimmy Donaldson (aka MrBeast) wants to make the jump from YouTube to a more mainstream media channel, and Amazon is backing it (reportedly for $100 million) to promote its streaming service. Financial reasons, desire for fame, and/or something else entirely.

American viewers can watch “The Beast Game” exclusively on Amazon Prime. The first two episodes will be available on Thursday, December 19, and the next eight episodes will be available every Thursday.
