The OLED iPad Mini is rumored to be available in 2026.

Today, there were again reports that Apple may release a new iPad with an OLED display, a giant foldable iPad, or a hybrid MacBook.

The latest leak comes from Display Supply Chain Consultants (DSCC) via Apple Insider; DSCC is run by analyst Ross Young and regularly publishes predictions and leaks about future Apple products. and leaked information about future Apple products.

Young's report suggests that Apple will launch its first OLED iPad in 2026 with the 8.5-inch iPad Mini. This will be followed by upgraded 11- and 13-inch iPad Airs with OLED displays.

The report also suggests that Apple may launch an 18.8-inch foldable iPad Pro in 2027. Yesterday, another leak from Bloomberg's Mark Gurman suggested that such a device would not be released until 2028. That iPad variant could essentially be two iPad Pro tablets side by side. But a foldable MacBook might debut in 2026 or 2027 instead.

These numbers are not particularly surprising, as we have been saying for months now about various iPads, including OLED and foldable versions.

However, it does seem to correspond to a leak earlier this month when X published what was purported to be Apple's display roadmap.

The roadmap indicates that Apple will release its first OLED iPad in 2026. This iPad is the iPad Mini and, similar to Young's report, two OLED iPad Air tablets will be released in 2027. The report also states that the OLED iPad Pro will be released in 2028.

One difference between the Gurman report and the roadmap is that in that map Apple does not announce anything foldable until 2028. The spreadsheet lists an 18.8” foldable (tablet/laptop/monitor). It is unclear what form factor Apple's foldable device will be.

Hybrid foldable MacBooks and foldable iPads have been suggested several times this year. In most cases, leaked information has placed the display size between 18“ and 20”. Perhaps Apple is working on both devices, or perhaps the experiment is making more of a laptop-replacement tablet, even though Apple's Tim Cook has repeatedly said that the tech giant does not want tablets to cannibalize laptops.
