The best streaming services, including Hulu, have extensive content libraries. While it's great to have unlimited access to TV shows and movies, it can be hard to know what to watch. Fortunately, Hulu has the top 15 shows and movie collections to give you an idea of what's trending on this platform.
This week, as in recent weeks, there are plenty of top 10 movies to choose from. Naturally, Will Ferrell's beloved Christmas movie “Elf” continues to top the list, but there are also several new releases this year. Two movies have just appeared on the streaming service, including a film about an undersea plane crash escape and a new horror film starring Hunter Schaeffer, both of which have soared into the top 10.
Without further ado, here are Hulu's top 15 movies worth watching now. If you want to see more, check out Hulu's guide to the top shows.
This is based on the Hulu Top 15 movies and shows as of Thursday, December 19.
“Elf” star Will Ferrell plays Buddy, a human raised by Santa's elves as a companion. He came to the North Pole after sneaking into Santa's sack as a baby in an orphanage, always thinking he was just a big elf. But one day, Papa Elf (Bob Newhart) tells Buddy that his birth parents are human Walter Hobbs (James Caan) and Susan Wells, and that his mother adopted him just before she died.
So Buddy heads to New York to run a children's book publishing company and meet his father, who has no idea he has a son he thinks is an elf. When Buddy arrives in New York, the hijinks ensue in a classic fish-out-of-water comedy. If you haven't seen it yet, or haven't seen it in a while, I urge you to see one of the most beloved Christmas movies of this century.

Some movies are plane crash movies, some are thrillers set underwater. But “No Way Up” is both, and after watching the trailer, you'll never leave your seatbelt unbuckled on a plane again.
The survival thriller film stars Sophie McIntosh as Eva, the daughter of a politician who heads to Cabo for a vacation with her boyfriend (Jeremias Amoa) and several others. But the plane hits a bird mid-flight and crashes in the Pacific Ocean, leaving them stranded underwater. Luckily, Eva's bodyguard Brandon (Colm Meaney) is also on board. Will he be enough help to get them to safety? Or will they be doomed by the appearance of a great white shark?

In “Cuckoo,” Hunter Schaefer plays Gretchen, a teenager who moves to the German Alps with her father (Marton Csokas) and his family after her mother dies. Her father sets out to build a new hotel owned by the mysterious Mr. Koenig (Dan Stevens), but things quickly take a disturbing turn when a guest begins vomiting and her half-sister Alma (Mira Liu) has a seizure.
Reviews from critics have been generally positive, but reviews from audiences have been mixed. Still, Schaefer and Stevens seem to have received almost universal praise for their performances, even if the film itself is not so cohesive.
