New report reveals details of Apple Glasses launch - when will they appear?

Like other major technology companies, Apple is reportedly working on smart glasses. The glasses would allow users to see the world differently through a form factor that is smaller and more discreet than the best VR headsets. However, according to the latest reports, Apple is in no rush to bring the glasses to market.

The latest Apple Smart Glasses rumor comes from Bloomberg's Mark Gurman. According to him, Apple's glasses will have to wait three to five years before they hit the market. Although he confirmed that Apple is working on smart glasses internally, he said that “nothing is coming in the near future.”

Why the delay? Garman cites Apple's need to “solve a difficult equation.” The biggest obstacle, of course, is creating a design smaller than the one used for the Apple Vision Pro. If the smart glasses are too big, it is too obvious to anyone that they do not look natural and are slightly off. We have lived our lives seeing people wearing traditional power glasses, so if the glasses are a little too big, they feel uncomfortable.

The report also cites the need to achieve acceptable battery life. As products get smaller, batteries must also get smaller. As batteries get smaller, their capacity decreases. Maintaining the functionality of two displays with a small battery is not an easy task for Apple.

Garman's report also cites the need for “attractive displays.” Apple wants everything users see through their smart glasses to look great, and it can't do that without creating the right screen.

Even though other tech companies seem to be ahead of Apple in smart glasses, this will follow the same pattern that Apple followed with Apple Intelligence. However, the release of AI was not entirely smooth, even if there were delays.
