“Plan on it”

Hello Strands fans! I would like to pay tribute to the puzzle-setters at the New York Times. At first glance, “Plan on it” seems vague and unhelpful. But CALENDAR, of course, is literally about planning. Not a single word is wasted.
But it was only later that I realized, after being surprised that “datapoint” was not a spangram, that I needed two clues to get started and was kicking myself when I was handed both DATE and WEEK.
Even then I wasn't quite sure where I was going, but it was enough to keep going. I wrote MONTH on the right side and YEAR on the left. Then I found EVENT on the upper right and HOLIDAY on the other side.
Now there was room for a spangram: CALENDAR spelled backwards from bottom to top.
Only one answer remained: APPOINTMENT is in the lower right.
