The Premier League (EPL) is the top flight of English soccer, founded in 1992 as a separate league from the Football League First Division. It is widely regarded as the most watched and profitable soccer league in the world, being watched by 920 million households in 189 countries.
The season runs from August to May. The league consists of 20 clubs, each team playing 38 matches. There are three wins, one draw, and no losses.
The team with the most points at the end of the season is the winner. Teams finishing in the bottom three in the Premier League are relegated to the Championship (the second tier of English soccer).
The schedule for the 24/25 season was announced on June 18, 2024 and can be found on the official Premier League page. The schedule is computer-generated; five consecutive home games must be no more than three. For example, to avoid having Man City and Man Utd play at home on the same weekend, clubs are usually paired with a local rival.
Premier League matches are always subject to change, and television stations often move matches around for live coverage.
Premier League international breaks were held September 1-9, October 6-14, and November 10-18 for England's Nations League campaign.
There will be a further break from March 20 to 25, 2025 for the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers and the UEFA Nations League quarterfinals.
The final Premier League match will be played on Sunday, May 25. All matches will kick off at the same time.
In the United States, the games will be broadcast on NBC Sports (full list: NBC Sports Premier League Schedule). Today's Premier League match will be broadcast live on Peacock, NBC, USA Network, Telemundo, and Universo (Spanish-language broadcasts).
In the UK, 200 of the 380 matches are being broadcast live on Sky Sports; TNT Sports has rights to 52 matches and Prime Video has rights to 20 matches. Note: Matches with a 3 p.m. kickoff cannot be televised in the UK due to blackout rules.
All Premier League 24/25 matches will be streamed live online somewhere in the world. The trick is finding that location. Overseas?
