Samsung's “One UI 7” Android skin for Android 15 has been teased and rumored so much that it is almost surprising to finally put an actual date on its release after months of delay.
Thanks to regular Samsung leak maven Ice Universe, it looks like we'll have to wait a week to see the operating system in action on Galaxy phones; X expects the One UI 7 Beta to begin “next week, after November 17 . The first countries to get it include South Korea and the United States.”
For Ice Universe, this is one of the more bet-the-case posts they have made regarding the Samsung leak. Still, assuming they are correct, we could be in line some time next week to try out the latest version of Samsung's phone software.
Still, this new claim is consistent with earlier leaked information that suggested the beta version would be available in mid-November. It is unclear which phones qualify to run the beta.
At the Samsung Developer Conference earlier this fall, Samsung said the public beta would arrive by the end of the year, but gave no more specific date.
As X's resident Samsung tipster, Ice Universe has been touting the One UI 7 update heavily, and this reskin appears to be a major overhaul for Samsung's user interface.
We have seen some early peaks in the interface that seem much more rounded. Around Halloween, a video was released purporting to show the animation of the UI in motion, and it looked super fast and fluid. Another leak around the same time showcased new icons, Circle to Search upgrades, and new parental controls.
Based on the timing and seemingly short window, One UI 7 will likely launch in January 2025 with the Galaxy S25 at full launch.
